About Fletch

" I'm learning my craft." he replied in his cool mellow manor. The reporter asked him all kinds of questions, but when asked "What are you doing right now ?", the one that answered them all was simply that.

Fletch started singing at a young age, but quickly realized that he was good at it and that's when the passion began. First it started with old school classic R/B, then with a change of time and maturity he delved into a budding edgey hip hop culture where he learned how to incorporate himself into all music. After spending some time at Las Vegas Academy of Performing Art, he then knew it was time to branch out, and thats when" it got serious" in  his words.

He began writting his own music, which was an homage to those before him that reached inward to find a new and unique sound of their own, which he did and soon began to flourish. Blending cultures, Fletch was able to craft a sound that blended the smooth soulful  R/B melodies he loved with the passion, purpose and intensity of Hip Hop. Add in a twist of Funk and a splash of Jazz with just a touch of Rock 'n' Roll, and what you have is FLETCH. " It's hard to put it in a box. It's just good music. Every person that hears it has a favorite and they're always different, I love that." He goes on to say " and it's not a waste of sound. Everything has a purpose. My music isn't there just to be there, it's ment to be heard, it has a messege, a reason. I think that's important." So do his listeners.

As a regular on the Las Vegas strip scene Fletch has honed his stage show. "After more than 15 years in the entertainment capitol of the world, I've learned a few things" as he laughs when asked if he has any tricks when it comes to wowing the crowd. " I really just think of myself as being a part of the party and not being on stage. It helps me loose the anxiousness of wanting to put on a great show and lets everyone know that I'm here WITH them and not just for them. I think it's that symbiotic realtionship with the crowd that makes the difference. Yeah they want a show, but the also want the connection, I give 'em both".

It's an awsome thing to see someone like this work. When the lights come on, he transforms into a vessel of light that has one soul purpose and that is to rock the house. Whether it's to one person or 1000, he gives everything he has and loves it. In my book that makes him great, and he makes it look so easy, but you'll just have to see for yourself.
